If the card is able to perform some functions, but not others, please report the problem to the Campus Card Office. Report lost or stolen Fire Cards immediately so access on the card can be locked and a new card can be issued. Replacements may be obtained in the Campus Card Office in Pansler 109.
There is a replacement Fire Card charge of $15 for lost cards. The charge is placed on the student account and is not due at the time of replacement.
All residential students are required to have a meal plan. There are five different meal plan options for residential students to choose between: a 10-meal plan, 14-meal plan, 21-meal plan, or an Education and Social Work Intern block meal plan. Plans are based on the amount of meals the student will use each week.
No, residential meal plans reset every Monday morning and any unused meals do not carry over into the next week.
Students can sign up for their initial meal plan before, or upon arrival to campus their first year. After that, meal plans roll over every semester. If a student wishes to change their meal plan for the current semester they can do so before the drop/add deadline of the current semester.
Students may only make one change per semester to their meal plan. The change is made by submitting a new meal plan form on JICS and must be done by the drop/add deadline.

Only commuter students may add a meal plan at any time during the semester; however, they cannot drop a meal plan after the drop/add deadline. If a commuter student adds a meal plan after the drop/add deadline, the dollar amount is not pro-rated. The cost of the meal plan remains the same but the student still receives the number of meals requested for the semester.

NO changes can be made to any resident meal plan after the drop/add deadline unless a student officially withdraws from the university. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Cost estimates from SFS give you an idea of how much you will owe but it does not actually sign you up for a meal plan. You must sign up for a meal plan or make any changes on JICS under the housing tab.
Fire Funds come with the meal plan chosen. Students cannot add more Fire Funds to their card.

SEU offers Fire Funds with all meal plan choices. Fire Funds may be used in Portico Coffeehouse, Mi Casa Café, Tuscana Ristorante, the on-campus Chick-Fil-A, the stadium concession stand, and the Buena Vida Food Court. Students cannot add funds to this account; they are not refundable and they expire at the end of each semester.

Campus Cash is personal money that a student adds to the Fire Card. This is your personal cash! These funds may be used in the Campus Bookstore, Chick-Fil-A, Portico, Mi Casa, the stadium concession stand, Tuscana Ristorante, and the Buena Vida Food Court. Students may add funds to this account at any time. Campus Cash does not expire; however, once Campus Cash is placed on the Fire Card, it cannot be refunded until the student graduates or officially withdraws from the university.

Parents can use a credit card to add cash to your Fire Card at any time as long as they know your user ID and you have given them guest privileges on Campus Center.

Follow the simple steps below:

  1. Start here
  2. Click on the Fire Card link and log on using the student’s user ID and their last name as the password (case sensitive)
  3. Follow the steps on the page to add money to the Fire Card

Once the credit card information is submitted, the funds are automatically placed on the student’s Fire Card.

Residential students have access to free, unlimited personal laundry. Residential student cards are automatically loaded with $20 worth of “laundry money” each week. These funds are not actual money and they are not charged to the student account; they are simply used to activate the washers and dryers in specific laundry rooms. If a student needs more than 20 loads per week, the Campus Card Office can reload money onto the card.
For any issues with the washers or dryers, please scan the QR code on the machine and fill out the required form.
Printing and copying stations are located in the Steelman Library and instructions on accessing the printing stations are posted in the computer area and next to the copiers.   Students are given $4 worth of printing funds each week, which gives them 50 black and white pages. If students exceed the 50 pages, it is an additional charge of $.08 per page. Color prints/copies are $.20 per page.

Campus Cash must be available on your Fire Card if additional printing beyond your 50 free pages is needed. If you need to add cash to your Fire Card, you may use the Add Value machine located in the library, or add money through Campus Center.
