Be Engaged:

  • Be prepared: order your textbooks early and review your syllabus before your class starts.
  • Participate in class: Ask Questions and participate in discussions. This is how you learn!
  • Use your textbooks and take notes in class. These will be valuable resources for you!
  • Get familiar with your syllabus and know when your assignments are due
  • Plan time for studying and be intentional to balance your social life with your academic life
  • Use your Student Information System to keep up with your grades and to follow your degree plan

Follow the Plan:

  • Get familiar with your degree plan in the Student Information System (dashboard)
  • Get to know your academic advisor and reach out when you have concerns
  • Pick a major and stick with it. Multiple changes to a major, can delay graduation
