Be Engaged:

  • Be prepared: order your textbooks early and review your syllabus before your class starts.
  • Participate in class: Ask questions and participate in discussions.
  • Use your textbooks and take notes. These will be valuable resources for you.
  • Get familiar with your syllabus and know when your assignments are due
  • Plan time for studying and be intentional in balancing your time.
  • Use the Student Information System to keep up with your grades and to follow your degree plan

  • Get to know your academic advisor and reach out when you have concerns
