Orientation-Master’s & DoctoralWelcome to Southeastern University! Our mission is to help you discover your divine design, equipping you to go into the world to make an impact for Christ. To begin your journey as an SEU student, it is important that you complete the following steps prior to the start of the semester.
Step 1: Financial AidFinancial aid is a great way to help cover the cost of college. Make sure to apply for aid early to see how much you are eligible for. We are here to help with any questions! Step 2: FERPA Release (Parent Portal, Authentication Process)The Parent Portal gives your parent(s), grandparent(s), guardian(s), and/or spouse the ability to view your student information based on what you want to share—helping SEU meet the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This portal is a good communication tool between parents, students, and the institution to give students the support they need while transitioning into a higher education learning environment. Students that choose to release education records to other entities may complete an Authentication Release form, located here. Step 3: Course SchedulingRegister for classes, change your schedule, and track your degree progress. Your Program Coordinator is available to help guide you through this process. Pay close attention to registration deadlines and course start/end dates within each term. Step 4: TextbooksTextbooks should be purchased for each class unless they are already included. Some courses use open educational resource (OER) textbooks, which may be included in the course as a lab fee or provided for free. Students are responsible for securing their own textbooks needed for each course. Step 5: Important Add/Drop InformationHere’s what you need to know before classes start. Step 6: Success TipsWe are committed to providing you the support that you need to assist in your academic success. Stay engaged, follow a plan, and know your resources! The Consumer Information page is intended to provide current students, prospective students and their families with important information regarding the university. |
