Style Guides

Formatting Your Research Paper

Whether you’re an English whiz needing to brush up on citations in APA or someone who has no idea what MLA even is, you can ask one of the librarians at Southeastern, get help at the Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) or check out the Online Writing Lab (OWL) through Purdue University.

Check with your professor or in your syllabus to see which style your paper should be formatted in. The three most popular styles are American Psychological Association (APA), Modern Language Association (MLA) and Turabian (Chicago).
