Badging at SEU Career Readiness Badging is a collaborative University-wide program that is designed to aid students in gaining and communicating the skill to thrive in their careers. Students will be able to obtain competency-based micro-credentials within ten major competency categories recognized by employers, churches, and organizations across the country. The program is designed to help students articulate the skills and knowledge that they are already developing in SEU’s curriculum (academic programs and courses), co-curriculum (student leadership and activities), and in extra-curricular experiences (jobs, missions, athletics, internships, etc.). Students also cultivate the development of skills and knowledge not yet mastered throughout the badging program. SEU’s program aligns with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) which maintains a set of standards that allows us to define what it means for an SEU student to be “career ready”. An additional resource for career assessment is O*Net. |
