Student PublicationsThe Southeastern TimesStudents have published The Southeastern Times since September 1958. The Times is Southeastern’s monthly publication that focuses on campus news, entertainment, and sports. The content is written, edited, and designed by Southeastern students for their peers and the Lakeland community. Recent graduates also contribute to the Times, reporting about their experiences after entering the workforce. The Department of Communication publishes The Southeastern Times. The department is also responsible for editor scholarships and printing costs. The editorial staff accepts content that meets journalistic standards from any Southeastern student. Weekly attendance at staff meetings is required for editors and highly suggested for writers and photographers, although writers and photographers can still pitch stories to write for The Times even if they are not able to attend the meetings. |
